Just bought a Mustang. Love it! While at the dealer, they showed me how to use the app to remote start, lock, and unlock my car. It worked fine. When I got home, I had no issue at all doing it on my own.

Then this morning I tried using the app to turn on my car. The Engine On button is usually in the middle between Unlock and Lock. So I hit Engine On and it was just spinning. I exited the app and restarted it only to find out that the button vanished.

I logged out, removed the vehicle, reconnected to the car, deleted the app, restarted my phone, etc. Nothing worked! Has this happened to anyone before and how do I fix it?

Try resetting the Ford pass on the car or delete anything that authorizes the app and start all over

Sounds like FordPass no longer recognizes your car as having the modem. Check your WiFi setting in the car.

Ford pass app has been jacked all week. It deleted my car then 2 days later my wife’s car. I reset everything and reloaded the cars and now it won’t let me log in or do anything.

I've experienced something similar intermittently, playing around viewing tire pressures. Before you get all excited. Reseting, removing, reinstalling the application, for a problem that just might be temporary.

Consider this, WIFI and this may surprise some, cell phones. Are not as good as all the hype that surrounds them.

The cell tower you're bouncing off of could be jammed with traffic. Ever have a call dropped, or busy try to connect later .... OH no that never happens.

So chill for a bit retry later, One can always go out, manually start a car. Starting & driving being the most desired

LOL

I just went onto FordPass. Did an update and got a “Sorry, FordPass isn’t responding” message. I hit the update icon again and it updated. The message is still there.

FordPass is a mess - with or without a modem.
The basic idea of the application is nice, and I hope they will eventually manage to make it useable, but for the time being it's a buggy piece of shit.

Launched, opened the Ford pass, no request for an update message appears, app working.

Strange you run the update and message is still seen. Maybe close the app and relaunch it.

@Vlad Soare

Not sure what you're expecting form it. Me thinks the Mustang is for driving, some silly ass app is a play toy if board. Slick it tells a driver the oil life.

Rereading the OPs question, he bing a new owner, is it possible ? Something like E brake not set or not in park, doors unlocked? Have a standard transmission and not a feature, just throwing that out there.

I had similar issues when I got low voltage warning..apparently the battery management system shuts off remote starts. Drove the car more, but it took almost 2 weeks to get remote back.funny, when I got low voltage it told me to remote start car,but I didn't do that.recently got low voltage, and remote started and everything's fine since then

Indeed it is.
My buddy bought a 2019 GT about 6 months ago and he was having trouble using it as well. Wouldn't start remotely for him. He's on the road a lot being a truck driver, but it's parked out front in his apartment complex where he lives with his elderly mom and she was saying that it wasn't starting.
I don't use it as my car is a sunny day, awesome day cruiser only. I'll never really have any use for it anyways.

I bought my wife a 2020 GT just yesterday.
Everything was fine and the dealer walked her they the Ford Pass app. Early this morning she noticed the day time running lights were on.
I told her they only come on with the ignition.
Looked at the car the dash was not lit up.
Pushed the button on and off and it seemed fine but the lights wouldn’t go off. Disconnected the battery and reconnected and the lights were still on. Started the car moved it and then it wouldn’t shut off. I finally pulled the fuel injection fuse to kill the engine and left the battery unhooked.
Makes me wonder if this maybe related to the Ford Pass app possibly?

Not thinking the dots connect,

the car or lights

Yeah, no. The app has no control over the lights. I’m thinking electrical short. Good luck.

Last night my engine start button on the Ford app disappeared but came back this morning.
