FordPass update ?

Received what appears to be an update to FordPass on the app that was effective 1/25/23. Quite lengthy to read, already had FordPass up and running but this update requires an acceptance to continue using. Thoughts?

I'm a FordPass fan. I've used the Lock/Unlock, mileage, location, easy access to my VINs, all sorts of useful administrative stuff. My thoughts are, keep the app updated, and use it.

Pretty standard fare from the legal department. Some lawyer saw (or was exposed to) a loophole that needed closing, hence new fine print... which you needed to acknowlege. Your data is Ford's, they will share it with whomever they please, and they are not liable for anything. That about sums it up. That said, I use and like the app myself.

David summed it up, just a bunch of CYA language. I like the app personally, can schedule service, remote start the car when it’s super cold here, etc. I’m not concerned about the data tracking by Ford when using it, just by having a cell phone your data is out there for Apple, Samsung, Google, etc. plus all the other apps on the phone. Just the age we live in, I don’t necessarily like it but it is what it is.

Love the ford pass app! Pairs very well with the ford pass rewards visa! I get free oil changes with my points!

Deleted this spyware app, and unplugged the TCU module within a week of buying each of my Mustangs. I'm good.

Do some research on the TCU modules. It should discourage people on the usage of FordPass. I can afford my own oil changes.
