Like the title says imma be buying shocks and struts this weekend for sure just wanted to hear from people on both sides

I already have ford performance 1" drop springs just waiting to put them in till I get shocks and struts

Its a street car I even take on long trips here and thr. The original plan is ford performance track shocks and struts to go with the springs with Bmr adjustable toe links in the rear.

Already have steeda irs braces in the back besides that nothing done suspension wise. I've had lowered cars so I understand the ride is going to b alittle "ruff" when it gets lowered but im trying to see what's my best option for better handling and a better ride then the pp1 shocks and struts I have now that I think are alittle stiff. Thanks in advance to all

Hi Will,

The Steeda Fixed Pro Action Shocks & Struts for the S550 Mustang are a solid upgrade because they deliver superior ride quality, sharper handling, and long-term durability compared to factory components ... all at a cost-effective price point.

Our team does a tremendous job dialing these in - on & off the track, specific to Mustang enthusiasts!

Shoot me a note to [email protected] if I can assist!

I have the Bilstein B6 shocks/struts with the Steeda min drop springs.. which are 3/4“ vs a full 1". They'd probably be fine, and better than either of your other options. Just make sure to trim the bump stops

I just had to make this decision and I went everything Ford performance track handling kit. I absolutely love the way the car drives and handles.

I did hours and hours of research before I made my decision. I spoke to Ford performance, Shelby America, RTR, Steeda, Bmr, Tirerack, American Muscle. I spoke to people here on this forum and in Mustang Facebook groups.

I spent hours of reading and spoke to people who track there car and people who just daily drive there car.

What I found was there was not a single complaint about anything Ford performance.

Every single other brand you will find multiple people who have had multiple problems with that brand. NOT with Ford performance.

Do you seriously think that these small companies can out engineer Ford who is responsible for making the GT350, PP2, GT500, Mach 1 handling pack?

Even if they could, Can they do it with the same reliability and quality control?
Some brands have rust problems, some have noise problems, some have reliability problems and the list goes on.

It's a lot of work to change out a full suspension if you are doing it yourself and very expensive to pay a shop to do it for you. Do you want to take a chance with aftermarket options and then have a issue and have to pay for install again?

The Ford track kit is currently sold out. But you can buy the parts individually right now. That is what I did. I bought the track handling springs, struts, shocks, toe link bearings, front and rear sway bars, and Maximum Motorsports camber plates who just so happen to make the Shelby camber plates.

Anyways, I am just trying to pass along the information I learned. And by the way the track springs are not too stiff as a daily driver.

Yea I've been doing all of the same research as well for the past 3 months and feel the same way about ford performance. i bought thr springs because I wanted to stick with ford might as well see it all the way thru and just go with my original plan of the track shocks and struts just got alittle gun shy for some reason and started second guessing myself thanks for the input and your car looks incredible I've always loved that blue
