My car is non-magneride. I’m looking for a setup that is “active” like magneride. I’m aware these won’t be quite as nice but want something that goes after mimicking the feeling. I’m going to have stock suspension otherwise for now, but eventually might change some things out down the road. I want to buy once and have read the Koni’s don’t work well once you add aftermarket suspension parts, where as the Steeda’s do. I also read though while the Steeda’s are more capable of that, they’re also less comfortable than the Koni’s. Is this true? Would like opinions before purchasing, leaning towards Steeda.

I had Koni active shocks on my ‘16 GT vert. Granted this was probably over three years ago. The Koni rear shocks were junk and the Koni front were ok. Their front shocks were better than the oem in ‘16, but not as good as the oem shocks on my ‘24 regular GT suspension. I wouldn’t recommend Koni. I’m perfectly content with ride quality on my ‘24 GT vert non-pp.

If you're going to lower the car don't get the Actives. I would just get the Yellows either way.

I run Steedas Adjustable Pro actions front and rear and they feel great.

You will never achieve active even Magneride is very primitive.

If you have normal trashed roads then nearly all suspension mods will harm the ride quality compromising street handling benefits when supple is better than firm.

I junked B6 for Koni Active struts and love them. Can't even feel the high frequency chop and sharp broken pavement edges now.

No street driving degradation al all. Kept the B6 shocks. This is for Ecoboost that's 200+lb lighter in the front end.

Keep in mind you can get Koni warranty support anywhere quickly.

If you like comfort get the Koni...I have no brake dive and cornering lean has not increased VS B6. I'm seriously impressed.

Pretty much everything after!market performance stiffens the ride.

I wasted good money on the front B6 that were unlivable on trashed streets.

Note that Koni have also made changes.

I think those are slightly different than the pro actives in that they’re a more traditional setup, but this does attest to steeda’s quality.
They are different, just not sure by how much. I like having the option to adjust them as needed to and how great they feel.
Good luck man.

I would just get Ford Performance track dampers. They're quality, monotube design. They give really good control and still comfortable to drive on. You don't need the adjustability really for the most part.

Pair those with the Steeda minimum drop springs at (200 lb. Front/800 lb. Rear) and drop in your favorite sway bar for the front and you'd have a pretty good setup.

I’ll take a look at those before I order.

Going to get shock mounts and bump stops, do I NEED camber plates? Don’t really want to get them.

No you don’t. Use Camber bolts.

I like to do the camber plates because it is a more secure connection than camber bolts. If you decide later to track the car, adjusting camber and caster is useful. Plus, it comes with a spherical bearing that will replace the rubber bushing strut mount. Do you need them for a street car though? No you don't.

Ordered Steeda, trust them more to have this technology dialed for our cars specifically,
You would think right? I felt the same way, but personally was disappointed in all Steeda stuff. Hope it works out for you, do let us know how it feels.
