I wouldnt want to drive with a cracked block or without the confidence of the car being able to handle the power engineered into it. But as the OP has stated, as long as a problem doesnt present itself under street legal driving conditions then there is no problem. Maybe its karma, maybe its the driver breaking 2 engines, maybe track package cars wrrent meant for the street.

I understand. I am new around here so I shouldn't be passing judgement on people I don't know. I'm in business as well and it's so damn easy to turn a negative to a positive in these cases but companies seldom do it. As far the OP goes I do not know him like you or others do. But I do know Karma is a bitch...

Ford bought back my car after 2 engines had excessive oil consumption. I wrote a nice letter to fordservice here on the forum. It took about 3 weeks for them to agree to buy the car back. It took 3 months from start to finish to get my money back.

Is this your first engine? If so why ask for a buyback? If this is your second engine you have a good shot to go the buyback route. It is a good idea not to air your problems in public. A subtle threat in a well written letter works better than starting multiple threads in my opinion. Look at it from Ford's view.

I got all my money back except for $400 for miles driven before the first documented problem. Not a bad deal to drive the car a year for $400.00. Ford took good care of me.

Why on earth would you defend Ford over a customer? These are the kind of things Ford should take care of in good faith. Will it cost them some money? Sure, but they sure don't have any issues when it's time to demand an ADM. It's just short sighted, they should work with him. I would not feel good about driving that car. Just my 2 cents..

I have some strong and favorable case examples in favor of a buy back in the state of Alabama in which I am a resident. I am curious though of the others that have successfully had their car bought back by Ford regardless of model. Did you all go through arbitration?

OP, the lemon law typically is a process and a burly one. It takes some time and definitely do your homework and then talk to an attorney if you know one that's a friend for instance.

Not to mention, this is one more, of many issues Zitro has had with the car. He, myself, and a few others have had engines replaced for oil pump failures.

I think Lemur might be saying that his limp mode issue is not treated like a big issue by the Track Pack guys......

Im illustrating the fact that if people here believe my problem shouldnt be covered than neither should this one. All he has is a visible flaw that hasnt effected his cars performance at this time. More than half of the 15/16 owners have a known issue that he believes should only be fixed if the problem occurs under legal street driving. Im applying his logic for other owners cars to his car.

I went the route of filing litigation against Ford. I was told by my attorney that they do not reply until the very last day meaning 45days for every notice and even if they agreed on something or made promises they could quickly renege and go silent. I was told lemon laws don't work very well with Ford and litigation was the only way to get their attention.

The time frame for this I am told as being 6-9months. Mine was 6months straight in the shop at the dealer. Even so 6 out of 8months of ownership in the shop I was told its always dicey with Ford.. I was hoping it would go quicker I still have a trans whirling noise I'm on 2nd trans and now I am having a diff whine as of yesterday, car only has 2,600- street miles on it 2016 Tech pkg. Scared to drive it don't want to have it leave me stranded somewhere or drivetrain lock up on the highway.

I don't hate the car just wish it didn't have problems and I could enjoy it. I'm optimistic and still waiting on the GT500 if its what I think it will be I would sell the Hellcat and GT350 to get just the GT500 to fill both shoes. Would I buy another GT350, perhaps.. I've learned my lesson not to buy a 1st year production car the '17 guys don't seem to have many issues with theirs. I've watched and waited for the GT350 ever since the spy shots came out and even flew out to the 2015 LA auto show to see the car for myself. However as of now I am left disappointed that santa left me an empty gift box with a Shelby snake on the bow.

The problem is everyone agrees the car shouldn't limp on the street. After reading all the threads I don't know if limping on the street is anything other then a isolated issue. If it limps on the street it should be taken in for repair

Well you're wrong. It applies to everyone who owns a GT350, of any trim.

A few of you guys have become ridiculous in the way you cruise into other threads and try to turn everything you see into a tech pack argument....especially bitterly following people around who you don't agree with...this screams of strife and insecurity. Are you angry that people have an opinion that's different than yours? You really think your decision to buy a tech pack is the same or even close to a cracked block? Don't answer that - let's leave this thread to it's original topic.

The point is all you and 1/2 of the other base/tech owners do is cry, complain and bitch on every thread about limp mode. Not only on this forum but every gt350 forum including Facebook. You guys have beaten this horse beyond dead. Enough is enough. Not only do I not believe 95% of what I read of you all saying it does it on normal street driving but you all have no proof or documentation!
Prove it. You do know ford will want your proof correct? A cracked block is visual proof. Ford is NOT going to give you free or deeply discounted prices on a trans, cooler or anything else because of your poor choice of track car. Imagine if they did that!
Does that mean because I have a track pack that I should ask ford for the nav radio? No of course not. I chose the car I knew I wanted without regret. Did it have quality flaws? Of course. 2 of My front bumper mounting tabs at the core support were cracked because who ever put the screws in can't seem to do their job right or didn't care, my left rear 1/4 panel has a pencil eraser sized outward dent in it that drives me insane, the passenger side interior door panel had a deep gouge in it as did the center arm rest, the rear bumper has the shittiest paint job ever, dust in the clear, sand marks beneath the clear cost etc.
I fixed everything out of my pocket because I don't trust anyone. I know and agree all GT350's should of had coolers, but unfortunately they didn't. Either fix them yourself or keep crying or live with it and sell it and get one that has coolers. It's still not to late.
