Thanks! a buddy had a virtually identical one back in '21 and I was fortunate enough to street drive it and ride along on track and it has been on my mind since. I had a deposit on the emira for way too long and this car came along with ohlins and j-hooks and some other little interior carbon stuff already done.... should be fun!
Wow the Ohlins and j hooks cost $$$ so nice find! I've had my 400 since new, did the Komo Tec shorter final drive, 3rd cat delete, Komo Tec 435 tune, and some BC Forged wheels. Wonderful cars.

Interesting, didn’t think there would be a wait for the Emira. Lotus seems like a very niche market so the demand wouldn’t be like, that Z06 I will be waiting years for. I think if the Emira had closer to 500 HP I’d be more likely to have put down a deposit. Drop dead gorgeous looks!

75+ track days.

So if you look up rebuild intervals on factory race cars, this car didn't disappoint in that respect, but it's also never been actually raced either. Never been on slicks/hoosiers, just 3 days on sc3r and 3 days on the gt350r cup2 were the grippiest tires that have been on it, the bulk of the time was on 200tw re71r or 220 sc3 with a few other 200tw variants along the way.

Was a ton of fun :)
I completely understand the difference. That being said, 75+ track days seems pretty decent overall, though I don’t have any other track/HPDE car data to compare to. I’m very curious about how long the LT6 in the new Z06 will last on track at HPDE events.

I really dig the Evora. That car should be a ton of fun too.

yeah, just stupid long wait and delay after delay on production and certification... I think for what i want to do with the car the evora is a better fit anyway, but may switch later if they offer a bit more track oriented spec on the emira.

If I liked the c8/z06 cosmetically, i'd have gone that route, but I'd rather have a C7Z even if it's slower haha. Will be interesting to see how they last for sure!

To clarify, my gen 1 engine never consumed too much oil and actually did not fail. I don't track my car. I had a small accident, the oil cooler line went off and someone tried to start the car without checking it first I believe.

I have it back, as of today...what an adventure!
Hey, not to necro this thread, but I wanted to check if you ended up getting anything out of Ford for your troubles?

My 2017 went to the dealer a little over 2 weeks ago, and was approved for an engine replacement late last week. The engines are showing as backordered, so I'm afraid that I'll be stuck with the same 2+ month leadtime that your engine had...

I think it is your service advisor & parts department who can have an impact on the process. All the communication from Ford was basically what the dealer had already told me 2 days ago- It does not hurt to escalate the issue but they can only pressure the dealer.
