Update: got it retuned, had the engine bay sorted out, and had o2 defoulers put in. 150 miles on it since and the cats went green. Now just need to get the o2s and HRT. Is this just a matter of cold starts? Read somewhere that the ECU needs to be reset after installing defoulers, any idea if that’s true?

No. don’t touch it. Sometimes the 02 monitor and heater are the last to go ready. They were the last to go ready on my catless setup, and took about 7 cold starts and 238 miles combined.

300 miles in and o2 and HRT still not set... any particular drive cycles or nuances you used to get yours to go? Almost all of the 300 miles are without AC

No large throttle inputs.

Which spacers are you running? I had to go up in insert size for the O2/heater to go ready.

Update: 3 months later finally got it through inspection. Ended up having to put on some kooks green cats. About time!

Wow, what a pain. Glad you got it all sorted out. I had a feeling Kooks green cats would help. I may have mentioned it earlier in this thread, not sure.
I'm itching to do some long tube headers on my truck, but don't want to go through the nightmares as I live in MA. They're emissions crazy. lol

Just installed Stainless works headers on my 18 with the Roush 2650 SC. Got the catted option. P0420 light came on pretty quick after a good pull. I ordered up the J-style O2 tube defoulers. There are multiple inserts (hole size) options... not sure what people have done with these to make it happy. Will be tuned for 93 and E85. Mostly on 93 so that's what I am going to set these up for. Don't really care if it sets off that code when on E85 (X85) at the track...right?

They work for me. I used the middle sized restrictor.

im having same issue as OP in NY. I am back on stock tune with stock intake.

still have kooks LTH with high flow cats. p0420 and 430 after a few miles.

will the J style defoulers/spacers work for me? I cant pass readiness.

and this is why you have P420/P430. You won't pass readiness with spacers.
You can with the right ones and a little patience. I do it without cats at all. :).
