having a difficult time finding a Snell approved helmet under $20 for the track. Unfortunately my DOT approved helmet isn't enough. Not going to rent one from the track.

I have one, 2010 I believe, that I tried my hand out at painting but didn't come out well. Still works fine, just doesn't look that good.

If you want one, I can send it to you for the cost of shipping.

Thanks, I ordered a Bell Vortex online. Just won't be here til next week. Next Test n Tune is May 4th. I can wait or pay $10 to rent one from Gainesville Dragway.

Installed mine over the weekend. It is an easy install if you have a basic set of tools and a modicum of mechanical sense.

I haven't driven it yet, but when I do, I'll give my honest assessment. My car is an auto w/3.15 rear gears so an increase in torque would be a benefit to my car that will never see a dragway or racetrack.

didn't make it out to Gainesville Saturday. It was pouring rain here in Jaxs, assumed it would be rained out. I was wrong!

Well here is the long and short of my F150 manifold install:

I couldn't be happier with it. :headbang:

Now keep in mind I am also running the A6 tranni, Pypes LT's without cats, a GT350 CAI, and a Flex/E85 tune from LUND.

I got my tune from LUND before I made the manifold swap, and have not had any revisions done to the tune since the F150 manifold swap. I have had zero CEL's, nor any driveability issues.

My car absolutely RIPS!!!!

Now keep in mind I have no dyno numbers to share, BUT my car has absolutely no problems revving to 7200rpm (thanks to LUND), and pulls HARD from 3500rpm to 7200rpm.

The car shoves me back in the seat, and when paddle-shifting gears from 1/2 and 2/3 with the traction control disabled, the car is just hazzing the rear 305/35-19 Nittos.

I love the F150 manifold swap so much that I will soon be selling the 2018 GT manifold, PNP pigtails, and 52lbs/hr. injectors I have sitting on my work bench that I have recently purchased.

My car is not my Daily, and it will never see a drag-strip or road course, so high RPM power is not my goal (thus why I don't need the 2018 GT manifold), conversely I want a car that is more fun to drive on the street in the RPM range my car will see 95 percent of the time.

Based on my car and its combination, IMHO, the F150 manifold is a much over-looked, and under-appreciated modification to the 2015-2017 S550 Mustang GT.

Just got a F150 manifold on the way from a member on here. I'm excited. I was considering the 18 manifold but low end torque is way too tempting more than high end HP.

Awesome to hear. I can't wait to add headers and a revised tune.

couldnt really have said it better myself. similar mods but manual tranny, pmas intake, pypes catted, f15o im, and 91 oct lund tune (tune before headers and manifold, was told tune should adapt to both) and this sums up my feelings on the car now pretty much perfectly

Are you guys getting more engine clatter sound due to the fact that the engine cover won't snap back onto the F150 mani and thus is removed?

Just extra engine noise ... the top cover muffles some I'm sure so is there more without it?

I'm with the comment right before yours.

I also have no cats, x-pipe and Roush AB's. My car is loud enough to wake the 'effing dead, so ancillary noises from the engine bay (assuming there are any at all) would be impossible for me to hear.

Also, I ditched the engine cover as soon as I got the car home. I always thought it looked stooopid and was simply a half-assed, lazy attempt by FORD to dress up an engine that didn't need it.
