Hey,

Just had an h pipe install on my 2022 Mustang GT premium with active exhaust. Issue is after the install i get a warning that says “Exhaust selection not available” and it won’t let me change it out of normal mode. The auto place reset the system a few times and checked all the fuses but wasn’t able to find any issue. They also said the didn’t notice any wires or anything that could cause the issue when they did the swap. Anyone have a similar issue and know what the fix is? Appreciate any help

Check around the valves and wiring harnesses. (Near the mufflers) I seem to remember seeing a post of a few people having issues with the wires chafing on a heatshield or something, so perhaps when those guys were futzing around with the exhaust, the connectors or wires were damaged.

Possibly a connection that was never re-connected? I dont have active, but from what it sounds like, deff a connection/wiring issue.
🤔

They’ve butchered your right side wiring harness …

Its most likely happened due to them A) not dropping the rear section or B) inaccurate cutting.

Yup, check the harness on both sides but probably an issue with the passenger side. Either they did not reconnect them or it got pinched by the car is my guess.

Good leads in this thread. I’m gonna head back there today and have them double check the wiring. Hopefully that’s it

It’s a really easy thing to spot: the harness typically makes contact with what looks like a metal pinch weld just above the center exhaust tip on the passenger side.

Hopefully they stand behind their work!

You can look yourself without heading back there. I have replaced both harnesses (btw - they rub against pinch weld and would blow fuse 34 since it shorts the wires to the valves) and re-routed them using zip ties so they don't rub again.

Ayee guys so I checked it out mysef and found out the wire right above the muffler on the passenger side came unplugged. I plugged it back in and it’s good to go. Had to of become unplugged when they were working on it. Good looks on pointing in the right direction
