I'm about to put my 16 GTPP on scales when I go to a friend's and find out the moment of truth. There are some minor things I have planned to reduce a small amount of weight. Just wondering mainly what you performance package guys have encountered. I'm hoping to get under 3600 lbs.

So I put My 19 gt auto trans premium on the scales and I was 3840 lbs. I had a half tank gas, i have added two subs (26lb total) and 14lbs of sound damping. I have removed the res and replaced with a switchfire for a 16lb savings. There was nothing in the car that it did not come with I keep zero items in my cars. I do not have the pp1 car but I do have the pp1 wheels. Those were the only weight additions or subtractions at time of weight car that were not oem. Unless the 16gt is a lot lighter from factory ( I dont know as I dont know these things lol) under 3600 might be a chore.

Let us know how you make out, Nickel.
IIRC, Vorshlag weighed their base GT 6spd (with basically no options) and it was ~3670ish? That could have been with a nearly empty tank...

I have to agree with Briebee72 that getting a Performance Pack car under 3600 is going to be tough. Plan on finding at least 200lbs to drop. Wheels, interior, PP bracing pieces would be the lowest hanging fruit...not worth it, IMO.

Yeah, S550s seem a bit chubby when you look at the history of muscle / pony cars but IMO, they put the weight to very good use. The performance numbers would best exotic supercars from 20 years ago while being vastly cheaper and much, much safer than anything from the past.

I did CAT scales with 18 GT base a10 pp1 with 1/2 tank of fuel. It was 3800 on the nose.

Just for grins, I weighed my GT at the dump when I stopped to pick up a permit. It's not an official scale, but my car weighed less than 4000 lbs (3940), which I figured was pretty good for loaded convertible.

My '19 GT premium/PP1 was 4020 on the scale at the dump. Gas was full and I have a spare tire and some tools in the trunk.

I put mine on a CAT Scale 3791 with 1/2 a tank of gas.

Looking to target a 3500 empty weight with a Li-ion battery and removing more items. Since my car is more of a track car removing the HVAC is something I'm debating as well.

18 10r80 with quite a bit reduction along the way so it "can" be done.

17" welds, BMR k member, Baer front and rear brakes, dumps after 12" mufflers off the headers, kirkey seat (still stock passenger seat), BMR parachute mount, 7.5 gallon ice tank, and a Whipple are the key factors

Y'all don't wanna see mine lol

Luckily, this is old and I believe I've dropped almost 200lbs since then. Have to weigh it again.
