Hey @Zitrosounds Here are your DTCs from the '16 Helm along with the Pinpoint Tests - at least a couple of warning signs for these tests so beware!! (In the manual, the triangles are rotating..)

Sorry you’re in this situation., here's to a quick fix :beer: & good luck :like:

Check the connection for being tight, somebody else found a loose connection where battery cable end.

Last night checked and found good,FOB's, Battery, fuses, relays, gas pedal, clutch safety switch. Scanned ECU no codes. The car started but it wont do so unless I am pressing the brake pedal, weird. I test drove the car brought everything up to temp, did a WOT pull ATW to 8250, all good. I am at my wits end and will have the dealer run there IDS scans and maybe they'll find something.

Maybe your car is having a transmission identity crisis, and believes it is now an automatic and needs it's brake depressed before starting.

Damn man, that is weird. Hopefully the dealer can get it figured out. Good luck!

Gave it the good old last attempt last night. I sat in the car ran the various test through FORSCAN such as the BCM modules and the ECU. The only way the car would start is if I would engage clutch and brake. I then disconnected the stop light switch on the brake pedal and attempted to start the car. Low and behold the cars starts like normal. LOL I am picking up a switch (10bucks) this afternoon and installing. Will let you know if that did the trick. Apparently this is an issue for many cars with a push button start ignition.

Harold, looks like all of your trouble shooting and diligence has paid off and will be very helpful for some of us that may encounter this same issue going forward!

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Hope that’ll be it for you! If you replace it and it seems to be the fix, would you check for DTCs again? If so, that would be good info too.

I told you it was the battery...… LOL.

Glad you got it. Good to know. Did you find that tip online or just trial and error?

Car is back from the dealer. The first thing I did when the car experienced the no start symptom was trouble shoot the clutch safety switch, I even went as far as borrowing one from a S550 GT which did not work. Dealer replaced the clutch safety switch and car is back to normal. Maybe the S550 GT switch is not the same? Maybe I missed some other sign? Who know? The switch was the problem. car is fixed. Luckily I was able to return all the parts I purchased for trouble shooting. Just to be clear, the codes the car initially threw where all pending a starting procedure and not indicative of an actual failure according to the Tech. Glad to have the car back and now prepping her for the next track session in SEP. Thanks to all who shared their ideas and thoughts,

Damn modern cars and their Fing switches!!! lo
