I bet he (or somebody) fudged up the tensioner install. #1 cause of bearing failure in my experience. But then again my opinion means shit, cause he called everybody on M6G retards.
Tensioner too tight?

I am interested in the cold air kit. Did it ever become available for purchase somewhere? What were the gains from it?

I kind of hate to see you selling the kit. You have been a valuable source of info for all of us. I am interested to see what new direction you go.

Well everybody was right about the fuel rails and the pain they are to install. Not sure how I managed but I ended up bending one of the location clips used to keep the fuel injectors that I got new in the stage two kit. So now it won't keep the injector in the proper position. The passenger side rail is giving me a tough time. I think trying to maneuver it in to place it just got caught on something. I thought I had it in place once but couldn't get the connectors to plug in. Anyways guess I will call Edelbrock tomorrow and see if they can send me one so I can get back to installing.

I didn't use the clips at all. No problems in over a year.

Really? Are you using the 50 lb injectors from the stage 2 kit? I know I read somewhere that some weren't using the clips but it sounded like they were using different injectors. If I don't have to use those clips then I will probably go that route.

I am not. I went without them on the stock injectors and now on FIC 1000 injectors. I'm pretty sure they are the same body though. If yours are the same length as the stock injectors and a single body you should be ok. I think people are skipping them even on the shorter body injectors and having no issues.
