Kits shipping now have an adjustable idler pulley.

You can fit anything from a 3.25 down to a 2.65 blower pulley.

Picture attached is the bracket with the idler in the far left hole and a 3.25 pulley.

That should help a lot for those wanting to run a 3.25, I have one of the first brackets, so mine is only 1 hole, which is fine for me because I'm not planning to run less boost. Right now my 2.85 is making 15psi

Anyone run VMP Phenolic spacers in their 18-20 car with the 2650? I got to pull the blower off the car to fix something and thinking this may be a good time to add them. Curious how hood clearance is and how badly it messes up belt/pulley alignment.

Any other vendor make them as well, pretty expensive from VMP?

Burkey has them. If you’re taking the blower off, you might as well because I heard they’re great for lowering IATs. Not sure about hood clearance, but that is easy to check. Hell, it may be a good reason to convince me to get a GT500 hood at the same time!

Hood clearance I can’t comment on. My spacers are 6mm thick but my engine is 6mm lowered.
Belt length clearly needs to be increased slightly.
The simplest method I’ve used for checking clearances is to lay something deformable of the desired thickness on top of the potential offending areas and then put a strip adhesive tape (sticky side up) on top of that.
Close hood, open hood, where is the tape?
From memory, the 103mm TB is one of the likely offenders.
I’m guessing that removal of the liner should help a lot.
Not sure what thickness’s they offer these days but if you need to customise them, they’re easily milled or put through a thicknessing plane.
Hope that helps a bit

Tossing this out there, MFP said their crank snout support system for our Edelbrock blowers should be due out next week or so. Their test unit went out last week and I guess things are looking good.

Not a bad idea for those that are trying to keep their stock motor together as long as possible.

Now’s the time to buy with the dollar sitting where it is. Normally it’s > 80c, it’s about 60c right now.

I guess this is a problem for those that can't get enough boost.....

Edit:

I just checked their facebook, said it is for the WHIPPLE but it is a 6 rib kit. Retains AC and Alternator stock location.
@wsfrazier did you get confirmation these will work with the E-Force

Just saying what Matt Coates told me. The edelbrock version isn't released or published yet, but should be very soon. Only their whipple versions are available right now.

Yeah but are they actually changing their prices to reflect the dollar value?
Your local vendors probably aren’t, which is why I’d just bypass them completely and go direct to the source/s.

Well literally after 12 months of deliberation I finally took delivery of my Edelbrock TVS2300 kit today! I know it's the older kit but I got a pretty good deal and couldn't say no!

I am so glad I have come across this thread (all 80 pages read).

I am not a mechanic but I like to tinker. However this is by far the biggest install I have done on any of my cars.

I am taking my time. I've got some upgraded injectors and BAP still on the way so there is no hurry at this stage.

So far so good.

My kit arrived with the plastic IAT sensor. I have emailed Edelbrock but not sure of @Edelbrock Tech can provide info on how to get the brass sensor?

I am not too pushed for time but really need to get it done by the end of next week. I am in Australia so I have to allow for shipping times etc... How difficult is it to remove the IAT sensor once all installed?

I am sure I will have more questions to come. I got the 812 belt and hoping it fits!

Cheers.

Cool as mate. Not sure how you’d go about sourcing the brass sensor locally but I know that AmericanSpeed are an Edelbrock distributor @Vogtland Mustang
It’s a fairly shit spot to get to once it’s installed, especially if the plastic one snaps off (this HAS happened). Honestly, I’d just wait until you have the right part.
Take your time with it, the injectors and the injector rail is a PITA. If you need help with that, let us know. There are some tricks. Paying attention to the trimming of the cam covers will help a LOT!
If you need help, let me know via PM and I’ll hook you up with some details via FB/messenger

When mine went faulty I just emailed Edelbrock and the sent me the correct sensor and harness on a Friday and it arrived Monday, US to UK.

It isn't too bad to swap but id recommend removing and refitting the plastic one before you fit. Just so you know it will come out easy once you have the blower on the engine.

Thanks for your response guys.

Which Edelbrock email did you use Craig?

Also, any trick to get the plastic one off?
