I have a dyno session Friday 4/26. I had my System tuned by Lund Racing and will finish up Friday on the dyno. I will do a write up on my adventure that started on 3/12. Just so you guys that have these kits know a 3.5inch pully makes 7lb. 3.25 makes 9lbs 3inch that comes installed makes 11-12lb
Is that with the 90mm TB and long tubes fitted?

@kenbidwell glad you got it figured out! What is it with tensioners in this thread? Mine did the same thing.

Well, when the tensioner broke, a piece flew of and landed in the radiator. Took about a day for the temps and pressure build up enough to produce a coolant leak. Checked all hoses and could find nothing. Removed the radiator to replace and found the missing piece of the tensioner casting. Luckily my son had an extra Fluidine performance radiator for the mustang so it is now installed and working well, no leaks. Working with Lund on the tune. Engine does not seem to free rev as easily and seems to be flat until around 3200 rpm, then watch out!

Ken
Glad you got the rad issue solved. Hope the tune comes out strong!! Keep us posted!

Thanks for the info! I’m looking forward to your numbers and your write up!

Mine is still en-route. It’ll be here early next week!

I see there’s 2.75 and a 2.65 pulleys on the Edelbrock site... and of course the 8 rib upgrade. I’m surprised it comes with the 3.00. I think the 2650 comes with a 3.25 standard. Which pulley are you doing on the Dyno?

Mines an auto as well...

I am running the 3.25 pully making 9lb of boost. 3inch isn’t safe in IMO on pump gas. Plus I am running DW95lb injectors with a VMP BAP / NGK 6510 spark plugs. I’ll get into the detail when I get my numbers tomorrow. It has been a adventurer to say the least.

Just measured, it's the 3.25 on my 2650 w/o the modular front. I see somewhere between 10-11psi with stock TB and stock headers.

Anyone know for sure the size of the 2300 pulley? I was told it came with the 3.00 but I did know the 2650 comes with the 3.25.

Are the pulleys marked on them what size they are?

If it’s marked it’s where I can’t see it. Only writing I can see is on the retention ring.

1586 comes with a 3.00" pulley.
Thanks Nick.

Do you think it has enough fuel to run this pulley with the stock tune or safer to run the 3.25 until doing a fuel system of some sort?

You are fine with the 3.00" pulley. The 3.00" on a 2300TVS makes about the same boost as a 3.25" on the 2650TVS (10-11psi).

Lund have told me if you want to get much more hp than the stock tune, the fueling should be upgraded to be safe. Bap + injectors
