Thanks! Guess I have to get a 90* drill. Was hoping I wouldn’t have to but that’s not the case. Does the tap come with the kit or do I need that as well?

Thanks again!
Yes, but and tap both come with it. OH, and you’ll need to get a fuel line removal tool for the connection at the firewall if you don’t already have one.

Perfect. Need a fuel line removal tool as well.

Anything Ford specific? Who sells the tools, any auto parts places?

Scissor or disc style? What works best on this car?

I got mine at harbor freight. I ended up buying the discs, but they don’t give you any leverage. I had to smack it with a box end while my neighbor held the line in place.

Ok, got mine in last week and installed this weekend. All works fine but I have a couple of questions? Did anyone do anything with the connectors taken off of the back of the stock intake? By my count there were 4 connectors to unhook. I looked all over my instructions and did not seem them referred to again. Next, I have zero oil pressure by the gauges. I have oil and the car runs fine but somewhere in the wiring, my oil sensor stopped working. Could one of those disconnected harnesses from the factory intake be causing this problem. I would call Tech Support but they are closed for the weekend. Otherwise, this thing is phenomenal!
On my base, I only have the normal reading next to the oil pressure. Most of my install gremlins are squared away, the only thing left i don't like about my install is that the passenger side heater hose is touching the fuel rail. Is your's like that? I think it's because the length of the hose is not long enough to give it the slack it needs. It was bound to rub a hole in it. I had to cut up a vacuum hose and slip it on there to give it some protection.

My dewalt drill fit with no problem. I actually bought the 90 degree attachment, but ended up not needing it.

Thanks. I think I’ll buy the same and be prepared and return if not needed.

I bought a 90 degree adapter, didn't use it. My DeWalt drill fit as well. Yes the fuel clip removal tool is necessary. Luckily I had one from my N2O days. I agree that the water hoses are stretched in this application. I will watch for any wear or pad them like above. Coolant leak is not with the new radiator, looks like I got some air in the system when refilling the factory radiator and it may have burped some coolant out. Hope thats all! The no oil pressure was tune related. Revision tune now has oil pressure.

Oh geez...... No wonder why mine didnt fit. So they do not pack the same belt size in their kits. Mine came with 4060812 a full .8 inches shorter than yours. I had to move up to 4060817.

I could not get my belt to fit. The one ending in 812 that came with my kit. Just be prepared to get a longer belt. I can confirm the 817 fits snuggly I had to pay out of pocket for that. My car was apart and I had to get it done for work on Monday. 820 should also work as reported by another member(his kit came with that).

The 812 is the correct belt, and it is s tight fit. The belt should be installed on the smooth idler next to the alternator last. It may help to have someone else hold the tensioner while the belt is installed onto the idler. The longer belts will be easier to install but can be prone to slip as this 1586 kit comes with a 3.00" pulley standard.

Well, when the tensioner broke, a piece flew of and landed in the radiator. Took about a day for the temps and pressure build up enough to produce a coolant leak. Checked all hoses and could find nothing. Removed the radiator to replace and found the missing piece of the tensioner casting. Luckily my son had an extra Fluidine performance radiator for the mustang so it is now installed and working well, no leaks. Working with Lund on the tune. Engine does not seem to free rev as easily and seems to be flat until around 3200 rpm, then watch out!

I have a dyno session Friday 4/26. I had my System tuned by Lund Racing and will finish up Friday on the dyno. I will do a write up on my adventure that started on 3/12. Just so you guys that have these kits know a 3.5inch pully makes 7lb. 3.25 makes 9lbs 3inch that comes installed makes 11-12lb
