True buy some guys aren't looking for massive hp outputs, and also want to keep the fairly stock look while retaining the strut brace
It's not just about power output. That blower will have IAT issues and will pull timing quite a bit. Yes, that is a "power" issue. But it will hurt cars making 500hp just as much as ones making 700hp.

I assure you that if someone wants to "only" make 500hp (which is a lot of power) but they are down 75-80hp almost all the time from high IAT's and the associated "muddy pedal" they won't be happy.

I thought Rousch validated the 3/36 part of your warranty when you installed their SC...Sorry if I'm ignorant on this. I just started looking into SC recently...
3/36 starts they day you purchased the car not the day you install the blower.

Haven't you had to say that twice in this thread?
I think that he is reiterating because people fail to understand that if you already have say 34,000 miles, then you will only have the warranty for 2,000 miles. But, I will tell you the best warranty program...your bank account. Mine has never denied me.

I understand that part of it....what I'm getting at is the cost. I understand you have to purchase a warranty from Whipple however I thought the Rousch was no charge as long as authorized sealer did it?
BTW, I only have 8K on my car so it is a big selling point if that is the case

these motors love boost I wouldnt worry about the warranty.
Ive put over 10k miles on mine since the Whipple daily driven year round.
I would more concerned with the quality of the calibration.

The calibration should be good and comparable to Whipple and Roush. Edelbrock has spent a lot of money and time developing this product. Hopefully this system produces good power and has improved the flaws of the previous generation systems.

I'm not saying that the Edelbrock calibration will be good, bad or so so. Not one little bit.

Everyone should be careful about the thought process "should be good" when talking about the aftermarkets parts industry. I don't know why a majority of people want to believe that the aftermarket industry by in large puts out quality/good stuff, when that is not the case. In my experience over 50% of the product out there is sub standard or just plain junk. When dealing with aftermarket hot rod parts the term caveat emptor (Let the buyer beware) applies more than any industry I have ever seen.

Don't assume that the latest shiny widget is actually good. Even from the big companies.

The Roush warranty is $1,000 no matter who installs it. But it still requires an authorized dealer/installer to complete the install, in order for the warranty to be valid.

When the topic is superchargers, nobody is talking about the latest widget, this is one single device. This blower has been around for some time already.

Supercharging isn't rocket science. Edelbrock has been in the intake business for years - I also think they have put some R&D into their product before it's release.

You mentioned " That blower will have IAT issues and will pull timing quite a bit." - Just wondering where this info is coming from? Speculation or have you data logged this for fact??

I think this will be a good blower setup for guys that want a mild setup while retaining the strut tower brace.

Here is this blower moving a 2012 5.0 down the 1/4:

Lol you can run that trap full bolt ons. Not even on e85. Infact we have two trapping faster. Not impressed with that blower
