Regardless of the exact build date, it is safe to say that is a Spain built engine due to the type of sticker alone.

Yep.... I should have checked before I bought it. I just didn't think a new 2015 Mustang in November 2016 would be anything other than a late 2015 model. Oh well.....

That will be interesting to know. If the decode was correct, I wonder if his is like mine, the engine was built in November and sat around until my car was built February 9, 2015. Either way, it's the old engine. I'm not too worried about it.

Thanks for all the info guys as well as the link to the other thread. Even if I have a Spain built motor I feel more confident about doing bolt on's and a tune once I'm able to. Looks like we just need to be smart with are modifications and have a bang on tuner. Thinking I will be going with Tune+ in the future!

I think that's a great idea. Just be sure to tell Adam what you want out of the car and ALL mods. Adam is VERY good at listening to all you have on the car or where the tuning process will start from, giving you a safe starting tune and then adjusting it from there specific to your car (not canned). He's also very good at delivering according to your specific desired outcome. Tell him if it's your weekend racer and you want to push it to the braking point or if it's your daily driver and you just want good safe performance. He also does an amazing transmission tune for autos.

Well, I'm surprised. I honestly didn't expect a Spanish motor. I assumed this was a late 15 model when I bought it 3 1/2 weeks ago. How do I read the build date?
My First S550 Ecoboost (car blend date: 05/27/2015) had a Spanish motor, and some other guys that were built around the same time had early Cleveland motors... My '16 definitely has a Cleveland motor in it

My stang had a small oval sticker in the rear quarter window saying "Flat Rock, Arkansas".

I guess I got a good engine, I have had it up to 140mph and no problems, in fact the harder and faster I drive the thing the better it seems to run, lol.

I'm pretty sure that that's Flat Rock Assembly Plant, Michigan...(about 30 minutes south of Detroit). Mustang Central these days :headbang:
