No, currently CNC Werx is, less than 4k for short block with H beams
Correct, our block is $3899.99 shipped with no core charge and INCLUDES cylinder support system that will support over 650hp.

Adam mentioned something about a big turbo is actually better for the engine and puts less stress on it, sounds like that's the way to go
That, and you are increasing the engines efficiency.

So not too feed into all the hysteria with the blown engines, but I've been thinking about whether I want to go with the 2018 GT or build my engine and keep this car for another 5yrs.

I know there are a good few companies offering upgraded internals for us now and at least a few ppl on here who have gone that route. I just want to hear some feedback on how that experience has been and how does it impact driveability and routine maintenance.

I'm not really planning on shooting for huge numbers, but I'd rather spend the money on building the engine than buying a new one. Is MAP the most economical option so far?

I see LMS has rods and pistons, would upgrading those be sufficient for someone just looking to make 350whp and keep it pushing for the next 5yrs?
I'm certainly no expert here, but you should be ok with 350whp on the stock block. How much power were you looking to make? I understand the concern because I have toyed with the with the same decision.

I built my own motor last year. I did do the CSS from CNCwerx, and machine work was done by the shop I use for every motor I build. I think it was worth it for the peace of mind alone. I do everything I can in the tune to avoid LSPI, but it's still nice to know I've got some stronger parts in there. Now I can move up to other turbos, nitrous, etc without having to worry about the motor down the road. I always prefer to build them before they break, but unfortunately this one got me. :)

That said most people will be fine with the stock block. I'd worry mostly about what you plan to do with the car in the future, and how much some extra insurance is worth to you, when making this decision. Building the motor in these cars isn't terribly expensive, so it will end up being worth it to many people.

I'm not looking to make any more than 350whp on this really but I've lost some confidence that this car (at least mine since it was a 2014 build) can handle that for several years after seeing the cars that have been going lately.

Idk you have a livernois tune I think they are more conservative then most other tuners on here. Me personally I plan to build the motor down the road as I will still be cheaper then me getting a GT and it will be faster.

We are more conservative where we need to be. That doesn't lessen our skill level, products or results. We still produce the best results WITHOUT failures. This should be apparent as every tuner has had client's cars suffer from tuning failures...but us, ever.
