I ordered a 2023 2SS last year in September. Six months later, I was still waiting on an allocation when I stumbled across this 2022 GT being offer at 10% off MSRP and 0% financing. Was a simple choice, really.
I think the exterior of the S650 looks great. I do like the interior except for the screens. I just don't like them.
That was the driving factor in my getting an S550 instead of ordering an S650. A simple CAI and tune will put the gen 3 Coyote up to the gen 4's power numbers.

The tuning for the HPP engine is really well done and the turbo is big enough for the engine to make peak power past 6000rpm unlike the regular EB engine. Unlike the regular EB, it doesn't drop power past 5000rpm. Its torque curve is something like 90% of peak torque from 2000-4400 rpm. It's...
I've driven a 10spd HPP w/HP back to back against a 10spd GT PP1. The HPP is noticeably lighter in the front end and the way it's tuned it feels punchier at low-mid RPM than the GT.
That's pretty significant from just a tune and intercooler upgrade. I love turbo cars.
What do you mean partial throttle mapping sucks? I haven't been following Mustangs much the past 5 years since I sold my last one.
Out of curiosity, what kind of gains are normal on an HPP tune on 91 octane with an intercooler as the only upgrade?
I would assume it would tune better than a regular EB due to the larger turbo.
I pulled 6.3 second 0-60 all day long in my 2015 EB w/6spd manual at 6800ft above sea level, bone stock. That was with me bogging the engine each time because I could not find a proper RPM to drop the clutch at.
Something's wrong if an HPP is only pulling 6.5 seconds 0-60.
The whole ecoboom issue, overblown or not, certainly isn't helping the EB's reputation.
I don't know if the Challenger is a better built car than the Mustang...it is a Dodge, after all. You might be disappointed there. But hey, go drive one, see what you think.
I love it. I love the retro muscle car look and feel. I LOVE being back in a V8. The extra interior space makes it comfortable for my wife and daughter to ride with me.
It's not the fastest muscle car out there, but it's certainly not slow (it pushes me back in the seat better than the EB did...
