The new Mustang is a beautiful car. Even more so with all the nice upgrades the vendors are releasing lately. It's time to get serious and separate function from looks. Please post any new products you find along with links and description. If you have a review or data of any of the products post that to. Lets try to keep it to the active forum vendors and non-horsepower increasing stuff only. Part must be tested and designed for track usage.

Thanks!!!

Current List:

Cortex - http://www.cortexracing.com/product-category/2015-mustang-s550/

Track type: All

Universal S550 parts: Tiger Racing Louvered Hood.

Ecoboost only parts: None.

Manufacturer data:

Tiger Racing Louvered Hood.
These hood are the ultimate in function and styling for your 2005-2014 Mustang. Reduces lift on the front end during high-speed cornering and as a secondary benefit engine temperatures will go down. The hood design was wind tunnel tested and performance gains were empirically measured on-track in back-to-back testing.

You honestly think an EB can get around a road course as quickly as a ZL1? Yeah, the Camaro is a pig, but it does have a wonderful magnetic suspension system and about twice as much power as the EB. I would say that is a tall order to fill.

He said a magnetic suspension will make you faster at the track...

but on a more serious note, the ZL1 is fast because of Rubber, big wide super sticky rubber and almost nothing else.

I switched up from my M3 street car, and my M3 race car to one Ecoboost stang for balance and feel both on and off the track. I am hoping to mimic my race times by just swapping some bolt ons and some Dot-R's and brake pads at my next event, so we will see. BTW those times usually beat most everything but some GT3 RS's and full GT race cars. search my username on youtube for some vids.

Anyone found track pads for the ecoboost Perf pack yet?

Watson Racing was able to get their GT down to the 3300 lb range. There are a lot of areas where weight can be lost.

The only thing I don't like about that hood is the cowl style.

Anyone know if the stock hood is aluminum or something already lightweight? I'm still waiting on my car to be built.

APR has a splitter out, should be functional as most of their stuff is.

Idk the weight of the stock hood. But it feels super heavy. Probably 20+ lbs to save easy.

Damn they found my weak spot and named the hood "TIGER". Definitely looks functional, but still a copy of the GT hood. Looking for a low profile hood like found on the gt350.
Tiger Racing has been making those vented hoods for the Mustang(and other models) for quite some time now and they are track proven. OEM on the Boss 302S/R. Not sure what you meant by "still a copy of the GT hood".

The stock hood and front fenders are aluminum.

What do you mean it's a copy of the GT hood? The little extractors on the sides?

It's not gonna get much better than this...the same supplier provided hoods for the previous Boss race cars...I'm skeptical that you'll find any other hood w/ actual data behind it instead of just being developed for appearances...

You won't find a hood like what's on the gt350 that fits the regular Mustang due to different front end design. If you just mean a single centered extractor, I'm sure it's only a matter of time...

Impulsed...what do you mean 'cowl style'? The raised section in the middle...like all the stock hoods? Definitely not a cowl induction hood...
