Here’s my setup

That's a nice setup!! Jessie at EMS should be able to hook you up with his Turner, for a good 400 horsepower E30 tune! You're way ahead of me.

Gonna be tuning it locally. Originally was being tuned by pdtuning when I went ecoboom and I have a good shop around here to tune it for me. I would go e30 but don’t want to worry about the hassle of calculating an e30 mix every fill up

It is a hassle, mixing E30. I use several 5 gallon cans to mix my (track only) fuel. I'm looking into running E85/flex fuel in the future!??

What do you think caused the boom? I'm currently 91oct tuning with Ryan right now on my 2020 HPP with FBO's and NX2 Precision turbo. Isn't the NX2 a 5252?

Yes it’s a 5252 I wrote wrong. I’m not too sure but the shop said it probable cause was too much timing and not enough fuel.

You're going to be limited by the fuel pump with that setup.

Was this an open deck engine? I'm going to have to see some evidence on that diagnosis.

Since you were in the process of tuning at the time did Ryan see anything in the logs that raised a red flag? I've only had 1 revision so far. Once the 91 tune is done we will do an e30 tune. 91 will be my go to but it will be nice to have that e30 option.

Nothing in the logs seemed out of the ordinary. No knock count at all. Considering that my engine blew about 2 minutes after I took the logs I’d say that it was very unexpected. One thing I do recommend is to not stay on the logs in between revisions. Switch back to the base tune each time after logs just in case there might be a minor issue with the revision that could damage anything

This was what they sent over to me. Original diagnosis was that my cylinder 4 made no compression

Do you have a picture of the piston crown? That's the type of ring land problem that shows up when the ring gap is too small & the ends but up against each other. If the plug wasn't showing a lean condition, the piston crown isn't damaged & the ECU did not log any detonation, then I think you very well might be blaming the wrong thing for your problem.

I got hold of Jessie Ringling of EMS (engineering motorsports solutions) and purchased a new intercooler from him.
I also ordered an E85 kit from him!
