We spoke to Ford Global Powertrain Technology Communications Manager, Paul Seredynski, who told us that there's "No basis of truth in that report." I pulled this from another site that had an interview, and questioned these rumors.
What is that, the v8 stuff?

Yes, an interview carscoops did back in January. Maybe things have changed since then. Either way, the ecoboost movement makes too much sense to keep the na 5.0.

There will always be a demand for the visceral, auditory and raw experience that is a proper V-8. Don't kid yourself. The EcoBoost has followers and enthusiasts, but the market for the V-8 powered cars will always exist in the US.

I went with the cylindersupportsystem.com setup on our built block. It really is great value, and the fit and finish is unreal. Excellent work. Communication was easy. Their shop is somewhat local to me, so I was able to drop off/pick up and check out their operation. It's a nice facility and they've done a lot of blocks there, and the guy that does them has been in the business for a long time. And I can still run whatever internals and machine work I want in the motor. It was a no brainer for me.

Yea I highly doubt the V8 goes anywhere for a while. The 2018 will probably be an upgraded 5.0

So you can either have a built and turbo upgraded 2015 EB making around 450/500 at the wheels easy or a 2018 V8 making 460/425 at the crank but it sounds great. (All random numbers)Tough choice

The issue is the EB gets a factory engine with a glass jaw and the GTs now get something that will support close to 1k wheel with forced induction. The ticket to big power in the EB is an upgraded shortblock, while the GT only needs a power adder of your choice.
