How long have you all been running e85? Prefer non boosted answers.
Considering tune, but it’s my daily. Would like an idea on a timeframe for e85 vs 93 (roughly 200k seems to be the normal)

It’s been 3 1/2 years for me (2019 FBO car). I did have a factory pump go bad on me around the 7K mile mark. Running a DW400 with an inline check valve now and all has been good.

I should add that the majority of my time has been on E85. I only ran the 93 tune during initial tuning. I also ran 5-6 tanks of 93 or a mix of 93/E85 on my flex tune during that time.

Good to know! I drive 25 miles each way for work, so between my distance and potential long term issues, I’m hesitant. Definitely tuning at least 93 to get the shifts better. I have the A10.

Even if it didn’t boost the power output, it would still be worth it to run it. It’s cleaner burning, cooler and adds power,

In that case, may be worth waiting to do. I just got the car a few weeks ago, taking mods slow. Maybe e85 should wait until next year. Add that and the fuel pump at the same time.
Side note- jealous of all the tools you’ve got lol

How much power are you currently making? I never did a before comparison, but with LTHs, Steeda x.pipe, factory AE exhaust PMAS CAI and E85, I made 469 rwhp and 434 rwtq.

Gotta have them tools to put in work, lol. I’ve saved a lot of $$$ on labor for mods and also it gives me a chance to learn my car inside and out.

One last piece of advice. If you’re going to tune for 93 soon, you might as well tune for E85 at the same time and only pay once. Most tuners will write tunes for both fuels at the same time for one price. If you only do the 93 tune now and decide later to do the E85 tune, you will be charge separately for it. Nothing wrong with having it now and running the 93 tune until you’re ready to start using E85 regularly.

That’s my plan. Lund with the LRX device. And a buddy has an extra fuel pump I can have just in case. Helps to have knowledgeable friends. (He’s at 930 to the wheels and does all of his own work. I’d say he’s found almost every limit of these cars at this point lol)

Right on! Sounds like you’re in good hands. I’ll bet your buddy’s car is a blast to drive or even ride in.
