I posted a thread about this months ago and the tuner did make an update which i thought seemed better at the time but im still having rough startups. My next step is replacing the plugs and possibly upgrading the ignition coils. Heres a video of it in case anyone else has seen this issue before. I switched back to my 91 tune and ran through a tank and it started up with no issues everytime. So it seems to be related to the e85.

It’s the e85 for sure. Mine does that too when it is cold and sat for awhile, say overnight.

I would not lose too much sleep over it. Just make sure your battery is charged good. lol

If it's been cold in Modesto (like under 10c cold), there's your answer. Try starting E85 in minus 20c. Ain't gonna happen haha.

Mine starts up fine in sub zero temps.

My car would barely start on e85 in the winter. I got to the point I just stopped putting it in the tank from November thru February.

Never had cold start issues with my pbd e85 tune. I do get some weird warm starts occasionally though. Also it barely gets cold here in florida rarely below ~50

LOL I wish 50 degrees was considered a cold start here.

Whos your tuner? I haven't been on E85 but one of my buddies was. He was with a certain company at first and he use to have the same issue, he would have to keep on turning his car over 6-8 times before it actually started. I was always under the impression it was just the E85, but he switched tunes to a different company and now has 0 starting issue. Nothing changed other than the tune... Same car. Same set up. Same city. Same weather. Will this be the case for everyone, maybe not, but what I learned from him is it's not always the E85.

All week last week in Florida my car started perfect. Seems like a tune issue. If it’s possible to data log, log it and send it to your tuner.
edit: I run PBD E85 tune
