When I mentioned adding a meth kit I was told I'd have to use 93 octane to run meth injection. Why is that?
AFAIK, you don't need to use any particular octane with meth injection. Meth raises the octane of whatever gas you use and, depending on how much meth you inject, you should be able to calculate the final resulting octane of the air fuel mix. You just have to make sure that when you get tuned, you get tuned for the resulting octane.

Yeah I thought about it for awhile.

It's actually ideal to put it in the left back corner for better balance.

Also I don't want 2 gallons of meth near the front of the car. "Boom, boom" lol
Anthony, are you running meth or water-meth. My understanding is that most everyone recommends not exceeding a 50-50 mix of water and meth because of the volatility of any mix with a higher ration of meth.

Over an already tuned car 10-20whp on a mostly stock setup.

Only 10-20whp? I thought people were gaining more than that on tuned e30. Didn't someone say meth would be more gains than e30? Should, since not only are you increasing octane but also cooling right?

I was under the assumption e30 is 20-30hp gain. Certainly feels like it to me when I go from 93 to e30

Ya that's what I've seen as far as members on here tuned 93 over tuned e30. So brad you're saying meth would yield less gains over e30?

100% meth

Don't waste your time with 50/50 like I did

So where did you guys decide to inject? I've been contemplating this for a while... And multipoint or single. I've been considering the boomba manifold spacer or mishimoto charge pipes so I don't have to mod.stock parts. If there are other aftermarket options I'm open to suggestions.

I have mine injecting pre intercooler to help with charge temps.

You can do it at the throttle body if you wish though.

Sorry for the noob question but what consequence could I expect to see from injecting pre intercooler? There seems to be a vast and varied opinion on the matter. I would think that moisture in the intercooler long term would be bad. I want to run meth primarily for aid in cleaning the head and cooling in my daily driver. HP and/or fuel economy gains are simply a plus.
