I've been getting the kinks worked out in my tune with Palm Beach Dyno. The drivability is pretty good overall, so I thought it was time to strap it down and see what kind of power it is making. FWIW, where I'm at in Canada I guess we run on pretty mediocre 91 gas.

Here's the spec on my car:

Whipple 2.9 gen 2 stage 2
132mm TB
3.75 pulley
56lb injectors
BAP
MAK Cat delete
Borla ATAK w/X-Pipe

This was my first time going to this local dyno. It was a pretty dumpy setup with an older Dynojet. It made what I feel is a disappointing 621whp / 469tq (corrected).

We did a second run later (no chart, sorry), using a different set of monitoring tools (OBD2 tool this time), and the A/F showed better AND smoother at around 11.8-12

The local tuner said I should ask for another 3.5-4% fuel on my map to run richer and accommodate the local 91 octane fuel and i'll make more power.

Anyway, that's my story. I'm definitely interested to hear your thoughts or suggestions if you have them. Cheers!

Also how high did they take it? Mine made 625 at 700 and 680 at 7500rpm

It's showing time where I am used to seeing RPM but it looks like a short pull to me.

Sorry I should clarify. Bought stage 2 kit used (dual fans, 132mm TB) but without injectors. PBDyno sold me 56lbs. They said it would be enough with BAP and 91 octane / 3.75 pulley.

Dyno pull was to 7500rpm

You pull the fuse for traction control?

Clean tires?

What was your max timing under boost?

Tires were sprayed liberally with belt dressing by the dyno tech. I didn't know it was a thing, but he swore by it (and they sounded extremely sticky).

I don't know for sure on the timing - I think I saw it go up as has as 17 degrees but didn't get any detail on that.

Didn't touch any fuses. Car was in normal driving mode with traction control turned off via toggle switch.

I just pulled up a WOT datalog I did the other day, and it shows between 16 and 17.5 through the pull
Can you tell me at what rpm you started to see 16 degrees?

Edit: worked it out.

dyno graph shows they made a pull to 5300 rpms lol

A. find a dyno made in the last 100 years or that isn't a complete pile of crap
B. Either your going to listen to PBD or you aren't, if you are then contact them, if you aren't and you are going to listen to "the local dyno tuner" then go to them and part ways with PBD otherwise honestly who cares what some local dude is saying if you aren't using them to tune with...

With all that said run it at the track, if it traps 130+ it won't matter what the dyno says.

I'm on board with listening to PBD - only went to a local dyno to see HP/TQ numbers. I made the post because the numbers were lower than I expected to see...
