do it, its a great learning experience if nothing else. Some kits require more skill & tools than others so make sure you do your research. IMO the procharger kits are probably the easiest to install and for the most part just requires hand tools
If you are looking at spending $6000 or so for a paxton/vortech you should throw the hellion sleeper TT setup in the mix as the pricing is very competitive in pricing and I think most would agree their quality is top notch...
I would recommend you drive one with each, personally with the new hellion sleeper tt setup that would be the setup I'd go with. Automatic with stock converter the centri will likely perform last of the three options because you really aren't into any decent amount of boost until around 5000...
If nothing else the edelbrock kit is a looker. As for the tq auto cars do some funky stuff on dynos so their tq readings can be a little odd, either way 630+hp is nothing to sneeze at, I'm sure you'll be happy for a bit :)
typically speaking if you total your car the insurance company will give you a chance to buy it back at which point you can part it out...it what I did with my ls1 camaro years ago.
Yes, the one you are referring to is the CARB version ie it retains the stock air box. Unless you plan on 1000+rwhp the p series of blowers will do just fine.
had that happen to me on my initial drive, pro tip-if you make your maf sensor connection accessible you can disconnect it and you should be able to start & drive the vehicle to a spot where you can work on the car & get the hose back on.
think intercooler, pretty much all forced induction you'd need to pull the front bumper. I don't think the whipple needs to have anything grinded though I could be wrong.
 they likely quit production because when you are only making 550-600 to the wheels on an s550 nobody wants to buy it when other kits are making 650+ not to mention they look hideous, not too long ago a bunch of us renamed it the snuffaluf***us blower because of how it looks, good luck with...
Cool story bro, I ran 11.5 with tires with a treadwear of 520 and a 1.96 60 foot time in my procharged 2014. Honestly nobody here cares about 11 second cars, if you ain't in the 10's or better in an s550 you are slow. Tell a 2018 Mustang GT owner your supercharged s550 runs 11.8 you'll get...
