I have a 2019 Mustang GT with Rousch SC and many more mods. 734whp. When I bought the car about 6 months ago, it was never driven and only has 200miles on it. From the day I bought it it had vibration from 40 to 70, that I thought no big deal, could be fixed. Had wheels and tires road forced balanced- no change. Installed NEW wheels and tires- no change. Had Gulf Coast carbon fiber driveshaft installed- no change. Shimmed trans crossmember 1/4 inch-no change (10r80 trans).
So, I am thinking of installing the OEM differential damper that comes on some cars, but no others. Does anyone know if it will fit on a car that did not have it from the factory. Otherwise, I am out of ideas on how to fix this vibrater.

Have you checked the drive shaft carrier for any loose play? Any play in the wheels that would indicate bad bearings?

Out of curiosity, did the NVH get worse with the one-piece drive shaft?

Checked everything, no noises at all, just vibration at highway speeds. After install of driveshaft, exactly same vibration.
did you see the question in my post about possibly adding differential damper? After that, I’m out of ideas.

I seriously doubt that the damper will help anything. I actually removed mine and upgraded the bushings.

Check your motor mounts to make sure that they’re tight and to see if the previous owner installed polyurethane motor mounts, which can in some circumstances add more NVH.

There is a very clever European phone app that will sense and then identify the culprit for various vibrations. It cost ~$100. It was posted 6g a couple years back, so you may have to do some searching.

Point being, if I ever acquire a vibration that is hard to identify (and assuming same for the dealer) then I plan to buy that app. It specifically can sense the driveshaft, wheels, and several other vibrations.

Yeah thanks. I am familiar with that app.

Where do you feel the vibration? In your seat or steering wheel?

Those diff dampers are tuned specifically for certain gear ratios. Installing one from another kind of car likely wouldn't do anything.

Feel vibration a little in the steering wheel, then all over when speed in increased. Not terrible, but very annoying. Car is PP1 with 355 torsen diff. I know damper may not work, but worth a try. Just want to know if it will fit on a car that did not have one, and probably doesn’t have the square hole where the diff bushing is.

Skip the damper as mentioned. Several have tried and it’s not a guarantee your rear bushing will accept the square head damper.
You possibly need to re-clocking the driveshaft to diff pinion yoke to see if you can reduce the vibration.
There’s several forum threads discussing re-clocking the driveshaft.

No reclocking of driveshaft. It is Gulf Coast carbon with no additional flange. Totally balanced (I have the paper). Besides, this is third driveshaft and no noticeable change in vibration at all.
I’m probably a lot older than most of you guys and have built many cars, including 2 Fox Body’s, a ten second 2017 Camaro, and a couple of Corvettes. This annoying problem has me stumped. I really don’t want to get rid of it because otherwise, I love it. It is fully optioned Kona blue with red recaros. Every option sold that year.

Have you racked the car and checked the yoke for runout with a dial indicator ?
Your certified paper is no guarantee. Numbers are fudged, we all know how that game works.
I didn’t see you mentioning this is the 3rd driveshaft in your prior posts.

Was this already an 800hp modified car when you bought it with only 200 miles on it? Hopefully those weren't put on a 1/4 mile at a time.. but if they were..

Have the nuts on the halfshafts been checked for proper torque? Lots of s550 cars have had those loosen over time, for whatever reason(s) be it factory fails or someone modifying and not torquing to spec.
