Whoa!! No!! This is why I am selling my PP2 for an M1! Please keep us posted from FP. I hope this is an exception rather than overall design.
Dude relax his issue is one in thousands and the M1 is a real deal. I also have a pp2 and if it wasnt for dealers selling the m1 for 10k over sticker I would have gotten one. Selling points are the diff cooler and the tremec trans which are the only things that the pp2 lacks.

Don’t forget +20hp, front/rear GT350 subframe, upgraded engine oil cooling, trans cooler, steering intermediate shaft from GT500, 150% more downforce above 100mph (handling), and a MACH-1 dash plaque! 😄
(But it’s the stripe and the cue ball that makes it faster!) lol.

Agreed. +1
Especially with all those Flat-plane issues coming up.
Personally I would be too uncomfortable buying any used car like this. You just never know how much abuse a previous owner put it through. Plus there’s just something special about being the first one to drive it off the lot! You break it in the way you want and there’s no unknown history to the car.

Seems to be the case with a lot of used cars lately. The local Kia dealer said they are getting $10k adm on tellurides and msrp for any used ones they pick up at auction. Drugs are basically legal in my state so maybe that explains it lol

I think it's definitely somethign wrong with the pump. I was able to get the diff up to about 290 again, and the pump isn't running. Just don't know why yet.
Sans the problem you will hopefully get fixed easily once a dealer looks at it, that sounds pretty good to me. I'm guessing your son is faster than me (novice with just 5-6 trackdays), but if don't mix in slower laps with my (relatively ;-)) faster laps, my stock PP1-ish (EU spec) will overheat. But mach1 did not for your son, even with a non-functional pump.

Curious which of the additional Mach1 cooler could be fitted to a PP1 car without too much headache.

Does the EU trac loc run hotter or cooler when compared to the USDM Torsen ?

I believe that the 3.55 diff in the EU version is the same as in the US version with AT, so I would expect the same (cooling) performance.

It was more to do with the diff type (clutch v gear type) rather than the ratio :like:

I replied to the diff type, not to ratio. The fact that the clutch type is 3.55 and Torsen is 3.73 is just the way Ford chose them.
