The front of the headlight may look ok but I'd bet that every mounting tab is broken and probably the housing behind too.
The headlight is smashed , 100% of the clear plastic "case" is broken .

Yes, this is covered under comprehensive. It just got to the body shop today after a 50 mile tow. The fender was rubbing , I didn't want to risk damaging the tire . The hood took a hit, was probably ok, but may not of been safe to stay closed at speed.

A deer hit my Honda Accord in almost exactly the same area of the car and the total damage cost was $5200.....new fender, hood, bumper, and some other trim.

I feel like you could have tracked it? Maybe a little NASCAR tape on the hoot/fender line.

Sucks about your car man.

Five years ago, some lady rear ended m yin my brand new 2014 RED GT. They had to pull the rear pan out jus tlike a inch, replace the styrofoam bumper insert and paint and install a factory Ford rear bumper. Tail lights, trunk all OK. That was $5K if I remember.

Looks like you got a hood, Fender and headlight. And that beautiful red paint.

Good luck getting it fixed.

Well....let's not jump to conclusions. Let's be positive.

It's all repairable.

It's absolutely all repairable. Just need a few obvious new parts. Hood, fender and headlight are the biggies plus the hidden stuff like brackets and liners and maybe worse.
But I wasn't jumping to conclusions. I've done some of my own body work off and on for several years. And I know from experience that modern headlight housings break increadably easily. If you DIY, some can be repaired but since it's an insurance job I would want nothing but new OEM parts.

And besides, the OP confirmed it's broken a post or two above your post.

I posted about the deer whistles to make light of a bummer situation. I suppose lots of folks buy them, or they wouldn't spend tens of thousands on tooling them up. Anyhow, back on topic...

I'd make sure your insurance adjuster and your painter know you have special tri color paint,so they'll understand the higher prices.inyeresting,if you look at video on applying tri color paint, the painter is supposed to test spray various mixtures on a strip of metal BEFORE he sprays the car to make sure metallic pattern matches
