I hate 'em too.
I had one run in to the side of my '16 a while back and had to have a new quarter panel put on the car.

The pics you posted look very similar to what happened to my 2011 Genesis Coupe - same damn thing - coming down a road around midnight, all woods, all of the sudden, a huge "crash" into the passenger side of the car... Startled the f'n shit outta me, I pull over (it's pitch black on the road and area), can't see anything, light up my iPhone's flashlight mode and the entire passenger side 1/4 panel right behind the passenger door was caved in, door sheet metal was all rippled and front fender was dented.

Damn thing came straight out of the woods full force, hit and must have rolled down the side of the car. I had to call State Police to get a report. They arrive, the Statey is like "do you know where it went?", I was like hell if I know! Damn thing hit and was gone. He was asking because if it was still around and injured, they have to kill it and also make sure if it was already dead, that it's not near the roadway.

If I remember correctly, the damage was in excess of $7k. Entire 1/4 panel and door skin had to be replaced. Rear interior panel on that same side had to be replaced because the force of the hit cracked the panel. Front fender dent was popped out. Entire side of the car was resprayed and the body shop did an awesome job, could never tell it was mangled or repainted.

Funny thing is, the damage never showed on any 'carfax-like" reports.

The pics are when it was at the body shop getting torn down. You can see how hard it hit the 1/4, kinda see the door ripples, and how they replaced it.

Luckily this one was a yearling or it would have done a lot more damage. I never saw it. It's momma crossed the road in front of me probably 300 yards away. I slowed down waiting for another one to follow it, and when never did I started to speed back up. I was only doing about 35 mph when something crashed into the car. I looked in the rear view mirror and it was laying in the road. I pulled over and called the police. They had to come out and kill it as the impact had broken it's back and it couldnt stand up.
This ended up being $3700 worth of damage to replace the quarter panel and paint it. It just sucks having a car that is only a few months old and having to get a body panel cut off and replaced.

I'm wondering why they have that jig made and bolted to your lug nuts. Doesn't look to me like there is any major structure damage. There is probably support under the frame that I can't see in that picture.

Keeping everything square while getting the rim and tire out of the way.

Wait, you went to where the deer live, in order to shoot them, and you are angry because one nailed you first. Now, I am not against hunting, but seems like fair play to me. Maybe next time take a Jeep.
Ha...no...I was on my way to work in Northern Va near DC. Hunting was a joke...killed a deer with the Mustang.

Taking it in for the estimate sometime this week. Looking at some of you all that have posted I'm glad I hit the brakes when I did. If I hadn't the idiot would have probably t-boned me. That would have been worse then mainly the front end.

My estimate came out to ~$7000. Front left fender, bumper, drivers side headlight assembly, fog light assembly, hood and radiator support. Should be finished by the end of the week.

Several years ago I had a deer fall into the back on my 01 GT vert. I was traveling down a country road at dusk in the sleepy little town I live in and saw a deer on the side of the road. I slowed down to a crawl to let it cross which he did. Just as I started to speed up I felt a thud at the back of the car. i looked in the mirror and a deer had either jumped or hit the car and feel into the back seat. It had tangled it's horns in one of the seat belts and was thrashing around. I basically stopped the car and jumped out quickly to avoid being injured. A volunteer fireman that was right behind me actually had to shoot it to get it out of the car. The dang thing tore the heck out my back interior and back of the front seats. It did something like $4k in damage. It was fun trying to explain that to the trooper that showed up and then my insurance agent. Good thing I had a witness in that fireman. Scared the heck out of me when it happened since you just don't expect that.

Well...

That's quite a different way of modifying the grille...

I guess Roos are as common as deer over there huh?

They are much more common than deer......country roads over here are littered with kangaroo road kill.

Plenty of deer in some of our national parks and surrounds, though.
