They've since made adaptions to their offering with specific pwm controllers for various makes/models. There's a bunch of different kit/part numbers now based off application. It’s not plug and play and Ultimately it will have a very low adaption rate.

Like most things fuel component related, it must be taken with a grain of salt.Anyone have info on this pump? Couldn’t find much at all in my searches...
What is your PWM source? This is part of my build/fuel system plan. I've decided to use the pwm controller (in conjunction with another pwm source). You should speak with Dakota and DW if you have any questions, they're very helpful.
The power wiring doesn't need to be 4 wire all the way to the pump (the 4th can be direct ground).
The 440's have a 42mm casing (opposed to a typical 39mm case for most 500 type pumps (267,274,285,295, etc) so you should factor that in (it's a little bit fatter). I have no idea if that will work with the OEM hanger provisions but it will NOT work with the current DW hanger (which has provisions for a 46mm case and then an insert for a 39mm case, but I suppose you could fab or source an interim size spacer to make it work or see if DW has created something). I don't think most of the other fuel hats on the market (divison X, etc) will work without some sort of customization. I chose to get the Radium hat for it's pump mounting flexibility (and other provisions at the top with electrical connectors).
The 440 instructions are pretty detailed and they give you most everything you need to modify your OEM hat, but someone would have to verify it will fit in the OEM hat (diameter). The venturi nozzle comes plugged so you can drill it if you want to use it or you can leave it plugged if you want to tap off the main feed or the return line to push the jet syphons.
