Driven both the MT and Nitto on the street and 1/4 mile.. both are good but most important to me is the Nittos balance better and run truer… much better ride over MT… had my best 60’ with the Nitto 1.57 stock converter A10.
I’m my opinion if the dyno isn’t happy and those power numbers are legit you are looking for trouble on 93 octane with additive and meth… who is tuning the car?
Sportsman S/R are ok on the street if you don’t drive like or are not an “idiot”. So speak for yourself ZXMustang. They have a very stiff sidewall and great load handling capability.
I wouldn’t drive and ET Front on the street.
You boys need to learn your limitations.
To answer the question...
the Circle D rep I spoke to yesterday said it does help with bearing clearances. although the lock up piston is on the rear cover it stands to reason that pressure does push on the front cover...if it wasn't necessary they wouldn't be making it same with ProTorque. circle d was having issues...
Spoke to ProTorque this morning and they have a billet front cover in the works so looks like this is going back.
Also found out that Circle D will be rereleasing billet front covers sometime in January..
