Great second post. I have some left over 'cushion' packaging from an X4 box that should do the same trick.

Found out today Ford has a Service Message to dealerships on how to fix it. Affects the cars built before 4/30.

Don't have a picture or number unfortunately but at least you don't have to prove to them there's as an issue.

Dealership fixed it - it was actually pretty good experience this time. It's weirdly quiet now ;-) Sort of impressed that Ford acknowledged the issue and fielded a fix.

Here's the Service Message (from this thread : http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32029)

SSM 45189 - 2015 Mustang Headlamp Switch Bezel Buzz Or Tick Noise Built On Or Before 4/30/2015

Some 2015 Mustang vehicles may exhibit a buzz or tick noise from the headlamp switch bezel while driving. To address this concern add a 10mm (3/8") x 60mm (2 3/8") piece flocking tape (164-4903) from the Rotunda Squeak and Rattle Kit (164-4900) to the headlamp switch bezel right side edge. Remove the headlamp switch bezel and add the tape to the right side edge folding the tape over the edge at the center of the edge. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), section 417-01 Headlamp Switch Removal and Installation for procedure on bezel removal and installation. Use applicable service labor operations in Section 11 of SLTS manual

Just had the local dealership look, rattle has quite a bit. Much better, can drown it out with radio noise now. The tech added some tape in the bezel, then drove another mustang which had it and said its a characteristic of the vehicle.

Just took mine to the dealership to get this fixed and now it's finally quiet.

Unfortunately I still have a rattle by the radio so that's annoying but I'll probably just try and fix that one myself.

Mine is built in March/15. I will go get this done through Ford Dealership with the TSB # on hand. they should be able to fix it first time with that much info.

Thanks!

Did you ever resolve the rattle by the radio?

I have this same issue but mine was built 7/31/15. I also have an intermittent one coming from the vented area on the top center of the dash. I have some felt tape at the house. I'll probably do the switch myself.

How did you tighten the vents. My tach and speedo rings squeak and I want to fix it.
Just fixed most of my dashboard rattles. I added lots of `sticky-leather felt` to all of the clips and some other random parts. Ended up "tightening" the vent's so they wouldn't make the annoying "squeaky" sound.

While working on it, I noticed that the 2016 models do come with extra padding now (compared to my old 2015), but it's still not enough. Here's a picture of when I took it apart (w/ some of the sticky felt on -- hard to see):
