I'm using a Cooau D20S. While it's a decent camera, if I had it to do again I'd get one with a dedicated rear camera. I've heard good things about Viofo's A229. It has Sony's newer Starvis in it.

Edited to add: Whatever you get, make sure you can get a live download onto your phone. If you can't retrieve the videos from it after an accident, it's pretty much useless to the police on the scene.
I bought this one as well based on recommendations. I think you and I may have chatted about it on a different thread. I think it’s a great camera but I’m very disappointed that you can only connect to your phone via Wi-Fi. If you are getting live downloads to your phone without Wi-Fi please let me know. If you are using Wi-Fi how are you getting it in your car?

Are they easy to install? How are they powered?
We have plenty of power up top on our Mach 1s. I used a kit to tap into 12V up here for my Uniden Radar detector.

The FitcamX also uses this locations and I am sure for the others you can tap into power there.

Do you have the camera & detector in the same tap ? Do you have a better picture of the taps you are using or is there a diagram. 15ā€˜ was easy but I haven’t looked into this one yet

I only tapped into 1 location for my radar detector. I do not have a camera. But I think there is more power to tap into there.

If you go with the FitcamX it actually does not require a tap. It will provide a harness that connects to your existing connectors. pretty sweet.

I have the FitcamX installed. Doesn't have a ton of features, but install is easy and the front cam has no exposed wires. It does what I want it to. I got it only because no one knows it's there.
Yep exactly my thoughts, I want it to be hidden. FitcamX mount solution is perfection, wish I could swap out the guts of a better camera to the FitcamX frame.

I'm really happy with this one. It's on my 350R which has no backup camera from the factory. It's got front a rear camera. Not that expensive, works good.

FitcamX comes with a Y harness and uses the rain sensor for power.

FitcamX, only list for 19-22 mustang. :frown: Didn’t have anything for 15-18 which sucks as those look really slick. That Dongar harness is pretty cool though, probably go that route.

This^^^. Just for ease of install (you can do it yourself in 20 minutes) and the fact that it totally blends in and adds zero clutter.
I use them in all my cars and have never had an issue.

I'm using the Wi-Fi. I only pull down the ones I want, and I only connect when I need to.

I can recommend the Vantrue Nexus 4 Pro. 4k, 3 channels and very easy to use. I have it installed in my Bronco. Considered one for the Mach 1 but don’t drive enough on the street.
I second that. I have one in m1 and the second car. So far so good.
