Dash separating from instrument cluster

I was driving home yesterday with the sun behind me and was able to see this large gap. I'm unsure if it's always been there or a new thing. I pushed on everything and it seems tight and didn't snap into any hidden clips.

Does anyone else have this gap?

I have seen a gap over the vent near the window even on brand new cars in the showroom - admittedly on the other side of the car (RHD / UK) but the same area, just mirrored.
