Curb rash on my wheels, is it fixable?

Not my proudest moment, but I screwed up and got too close to the garage wall when pulling in. Is this fixable? It’s just on the machined lip. About how much am I looking at in repairs?

That sucks. I would try to clean it up by hand before sending it out but I am sure it will need a pro fix.
I would make sure it was swapped to the rear as well. Rear failure is better than the front at speed.

Try wet sanding and then polish

Take it to a professional wheel repair place. I've had wheels with worse damage than that professionally repaired and you couldn't ever tell anything happened.

If you're handy with a dremel tool and various fine grits of wet sanding and/or polishing compounds, I bet that could be smoothed out. I stay far away from curb parking, 'cause I've done that too, no matter how careful I am. It only takes one rub and you cant take it back. On the other hand, if you consider wheels to be wear items, it's a wonderful opportunity for an upgrade and a new set of rims. You have a legitimate reason if you need approval from your significant other........(lol).

since the lip is machined you may be able to just smooth out the aluminum with sandpaper and throw some clear on it then wetsand and buff it all together. a wheel shop could fix it easily as well.

i just paid 125 to have one of mine redone but to be fair they didn't do a great job so take that for what its worth. might be a couple hundred.

i'd try wetsanding and just making it not noticible first, though.

I've used a Drexel on mine with varying grades on sandpaper.since it's a machined finish you may not need polish
I've also used pro guys here in atlanta for wheels that had more damage and they came out well for 150
If you're really obsessive you might need to buy one.i bought a refinished one on line for my caddy ext for 300 bucks

Easily fixable by a pro. Find a reputable shop, just do your homework.

Unfortunately your not the only one…it happens…Woke up to this one morning…my lovely wife left me a present…I got my dremel out and took my time….I used Dr Colorchip and touched it up…from a distance you can’t even notice.

Easily fixable, except I live in MA. My guy has fixed much worse for my wheels. I'm sure you can find someone local. Your best bet is to search for someone that focuses on high end wheels, i.e. custom, Porsche, Mercedes, etc.
