I put a little curb rash on my drivers front PP wheel leaving work Saturday. There's a very, very narrow spiral ramp you need to go up to leave. I was going so slow I thought I might stall the engine -- it's not bad, but it's bad enough to really piss me off.

Two questions:

1. What is the paint color I need to match the gloss black wheels? Is it ebony?

2. Where can I find a replacement rim at a reasonable price? I see the sparkle silver and "satin" black wheels available -- but haven't yet seen the gloss black available.

I plan on repairing this rim the best I can with bondo, primer, paint, clear, compound, and polish, and ordering a replacement as well.

thats my rash, "repair" came out great. You can see it if you feel the wheel, then look where its rough, but just to look at, its not visible.

What paint is that that you used -- is it "Ford Ebony" -- that is, is it officially matched to the wheel, or just something you picked out that is really close?

This is the route I went with - cost me only a little more than it would have cost me to do it right - maybe only as much - and in lots less time - highly recommend them if you're in MD/NOVA.

Yes - I've watched lots of those on youtube - I decided that paying someone who specializes in exactly this type of repair was best for me. And I don't always want to know exactly what went into the final result. These guys use an airbrush instead of rattle cans and pens, and it looks right. I mentally added up the various grades of sandpaper I'd need, paint, and then wondered where that old airbrush was, and if all the parts and pieces I needed were around... this option was hassle free, quick, way less than a new rim, and as I'd mentioned has the added benefit of me not knowing where something went less than perfectly, and needed correction.

That's a damn good jack to hold your car to the ceiling like that!

Glad you got the wheel fixed man. Looks like it came out pretty nice

Only here do my pictures do that! I haven't yet figured out what causes it, and don't care much. But it's funny. They look fine on my phone, and anywhere else I post them or send them.
