I have a '20 Eco-boost. The owner's manual says to flush the coolant at 100,000 miles (no time specification). On every car I've ever owned, I've changed the coolant every 3 years, regardless of mileage. I bought the car used last July, and it's now 5 years old. Would I be wasting money by having the coolant flushed now? The car has 13K miles on it.

Take a good look at the coolant and it's condition. Today's coolant lasts soooo much longer than it did in the old days.

You can also use coolant test strips that shows a number of different parameters (amount of protection, anti-corrosion content, etc.)

I know I'm living in the past, but 200K miles between coolant flushes boggles my mind.

Whats it worth to you? Flushing the coolant costs next to nothing. My mustsng has been flushed several times but only because I had to do work on it. My 2005 f150 might still have the original coolant in it. I haven't flushed it in almost 15 years of ownership. Doesn't overheat and doesn't get driven much so I've never worried about it.

I do it every 50k, 1-200 is a tad much for even me 😬
