Sinister he's using the Steeda heat shield that is made for the s550's, just not using the cai that usually comes with it.

Yes I know I have the same one but haven't installed it yet and it didn't come with any hardware.

Any of you guys with CJ manifolds get a P0300 random misfire code? I just installed mine along with headers and circle D converter and it threw the code one time, reset it and hasn't came up yet

Likely need a crankshaft relearn since you replaced your torque converter. Can be done at the dealer or with the SCT handheld and likely the other tuners as well.

I did the re learn I think we are good!!

Does anyone have a solution for heat shield with the JLT cold air? The one that is supplied with my kit (11-14) obviously didn't work lol. I'm having a good amount of heatsoak I need to fix the issue asap

Call jlt and swap the one you have for the 15's. I have the one for the 15's and it works good for the ford racing cai. Should work with the jlt CJ cai. But ask them first. I think someone else in this thread has the jlt cai as well.

These graphs of my data log at Bradenton are to assist a fellow M6G member. Keep in mind this is during True Street and I cannot open my hood, so temps are higher than normal, but still not too bad considering the situation. Some insulation is sure to help.
Don't forget I'm on E85 and a 5C converter.
A straight edge will help you read the numbers all the way across.

Is that MAF rate what you normally see on your datalog pulls?

I looked back at a few, even the one in November that is my best pass to date and yes this is typical.
I'm working the night shift. so I may not respond for a while.

Well instead of building a heat shield I had a GT350 complete cold air intake that included the air box and decided to put some Mexican engineering on it and made it work lol!! The only thing that it didn't come with is the air duct that comes between the grill and the actual air box but I have a lead on one already and hope with the addition of that it will do an even better job and keep the temps closer to ambient.

Before the heat shield this thing will get ridiculous high temps just cruising around about 130-40* and in traffic up to 170-190* that data was in 70* weather . Right now without the air duct I'm seeing 87-93* cruising around and it will get up to about 110-115* in traffic, this is in 83* weather. huge improvement in my opinion and looks factory!!

Thanks! I hope to test it on the track and see how it compares to something like the OP built. I wonder if enclosing it and adding insulation on the inside will help any. I want to get data the way it is before I go and change anything.

The tune is still way off I hope to have it lined out writhing the following week
