I purchased a 2017 mustang gt base 6 speed back in March. Has given me issues every step of the way.

Installed a VMP Odin Supercharger as well as upgraded the oil pump gears.

Now it's throwing codes
•P0345
-Camshaft position sensor A circuit bank 2
•P0349
-Camshaft position sensor A circuit intermittent Bank 2
•P0390
-Camshaft position sensor B circuit bank 2
•P0394
-Camshaft position sensor B circuit intermittent Bank 2

Here is everything I've done since first start and finding these codes

•Changed spark plugs
•Changed coil packs
•Replaced solenoids with Ford performance ones
•New Camshaft sensors (both)
•Checked to make sure everything was properly plugged in repeatedly lol
•New PCM
•Tested all sensor plugs for power
•Tested all sensors (all good)

Computer scanner we used was showing all 4 camshafts were showing 0 power being read or sent back to the pcm.

I have a new engine wire harness on the way as well as a complete MMR timing kit with cam phaser lock outs.

I need help on figuring out what could possibly be my issue here or if there are any fuses I need to check etc.

I'm not a mechanic by any means so I do apologize for my lack of knowledge here. Just a guy who loves cars and trying to make this build come to life.

Sounds like a PCM issue if all the sensors and wiring tested good and both banks aren't reading anything

I've already replaced the pcm and dealership did a complete reprogram.

Sorry, didn't see that. Very odd. Maybe the oil control circuit in both of the phasers is clogged up? I don't know enough about the system to be super helpful. Hopefully someone else has a better idea.

How does it run? Does it run? Sounds like it may have jumped time like the gears are out of phase from the crank.

You put oil pump gears in and now cam codes? You probably messed something up in when putting the timing chains on.

Yes it runs, idles rough, back fires and dies when you give it gas and let off. I figured if it jumped timing it would throw some sort of code for timing.

If you did new OPG during your install process, be aware that there have been threads on here discussing Incorrect timing marks found on some aftermarket crank sprockets. Be sure if aftermarket or stock that you had aligned the sprockets directly for timing. Then there's discussions regarding OPGs as well as out of spec clearances in some of those.

Check the below threads.

Thank you! I'll look this stuff over and will plan to proceed with doing the timing. I had already purchased a complete mmr timing upgrade kit with phasers lock outs. Wanted to wait till winter to do it but It sounds like when we did the opg we might have done the timing wrong.

This is from a different gen of Mustang (s197) but, also applies to other Fords and has shown up in Explorers and F-150 trucks, both of which share similar drive trains and parts with the Mustang.

Have your alternator put on a scope to check the Shape of the sine wave or check the charging system sine wave. A clipped sine wave or noisey charging system is know to interfere with the cam sensor signals and throw similar codes to what you’re experiencing. The alternator may be charging fine but failing diodes or stator creates the noise. Also, if any wires of the charging system or cam sensors are chaffed, it can allow noise.
