Do our cars have a CDV? The tranny feels great, and I've installed the Steeda spring. However, I am having challenges shifting smoothly at higher RPMs, and it just feels like there is a CDV in the system. I've removed the one installed in my E36 M3. My understanding is that most modern cars have them--I would love to delete or modify the one on the Shelby (*if it, in fact, has one).

Good question. Never heard of such a thing until your post. Interesting to see what the answer is.

not on the GT350. A lot of that is just physics of spinning all that mass. Was a huge problem on the boss cars back when they were using single disc clutches, so much so that the centrifugal force could overcome the pressure plate action and leave the pedal on the floor.

I removed it on my hellcat and car felt 10 times better.

I don't know if the Shelby has it or not.

yep, I took it out of my hellcat and the clutch feel is much more predictable.

CDV stands for what?
Clutch Delay Valve. I removed it on my E90 BMW as well. They are intended to reduce the shock on the transmission during fast gear shifts. No idea whether the GT350 has one or not.

"Your vehicle is equipped with an electronic powertrain feature to reduce clutch damage. When excessive clutch slip is detected at a high power level, the powertrain control module will limit torque to reduce damage to the clutch. Full power is restored as soon as the clutch is fully engaged. This feature is calibrated in a way that does not interfere with normal driving and does not impede maximum acceleration capability"

I think this is the tune doing something weird not the clutch... but i'm not sure...

I have to admit I don't usually shift "smoothly" at high RPM. I don't think the Shelby has one, but standing by if someone found one.
