I purchased them from summit racing, at the time they were $270 for the pair. I had them powder coated here by a local shop.can you share a link for where you purchased them?
Can confirm that the OEM Gen2 dipstick tube works perfectly.Yes the stock Gen 2 dip stick tube works perfect but I had to order a replacement bc the little locking plastic yellow tab broke on mine
That looks really good! Painting the blower the same color would look sweet. This is my buddys car with a lighting blue painted matched Odin. Projectlighting_ on instagramPurchased Ford Aluminum Valve Covers and had them powder coated. What a PITA to install. I had to lift my VMP blower but the end result came out great and I'm happy with it for sure.
Yes I agree. I too removed the battery box and shieldingCan confirm that the OEM Gen2 dipstick tube works perfectly.
As someone who has also done this swap, I highly recommend removal of the battery box and bracing/shielding to do so. Makes the passenger side super easy.
I've had mine off many times. I don't see what the big deal is?There’s a reason Ford charges almost $1k to replace only one side of the valve cover gaskets, because they’re a major pain in the butt.
Suspect Gen2 is easier to do since Gen3 has the DI fuel stuff to mess with to get the passenger side off.I've had mine off many times. I don't see what the big deal is?
I just assumed we were talking about gen2 since the gt500 covers don't fit on the gen3. But yea the gen3 is probably a pain in the dick.Suspect Gen2 is easier to do since Gen3 has the DI fuel stuff to mess with to get the passenger side off.
I figured that was the case but GrayS550 looks to have a Gen3 so figured I’d point out you guys are apple and oranges.I just assumed we were talking about gen2 since the gt500 covers don't fit on the gen3. But yea the gen3 is probably a pain in the dick.
