I suggest you get all the bugs worked out and then spend some time bug free before evaluating whether or not you want to tune.

I hope you get your transmission figured out, brother.

I have the same worries about tuning mine. I wanted the "sound" from an intake so I did a no tune required AEM and a welded a set of Magnaflows in. I decided that the gains had from a tune are not worth the cost and loss of my warranty. If I'm going to blow the warranty, it's going to be for some major gains(boost). I would definetely get the trans issues fixed before I did anything that could cause claims to be denied.

i just dont understand. sometimes its fine and butter smooth. other times its clunky and freaks me out.

The good thing is that it is now on record witu Ford as having an issue. Maybe take it to a few different dealers. But I agree with the above, get it right first. After that, tune away.

If I tune my car and my transmission blows can they deny service because of a tune?
If the tune changes either the power or the torque (or both) that engine generates and is transmitted through the transmission - what do you think ?
