That's perfectly fine. My magnaflow tips are much larger & closer and have been fine for 10k miles now..

You'll be fine, mine are touching the valance on both sides(4" quads) and the plastic has not melted, we had a summer with 100*+ temps too and still looks good.

Mine were like too. It bothered me and even my driver's side rubbed enough that it took off my powder coat I had done on the tips (grrr!) I played around with adjusting the hangers and clamps around like crazy several times and got it slightly better but still not centered. One day I'll take to an exhaust shop and have them bend the hangers to get it perfect...I don't trust myself to do that (nor do I have the right tools to bend those thick hangers very well!)

You'll be fine. I have about 1/4" gap all around. No melting.

I ended up going to an exhaust shop down the street and they had me lined up PERFECT in the center on both sides with a little heating of the hangers and 15 minutes of time. It was driving me nuts seeing it so far off center lol.
