I.did it too. Hood down and up.Banks Power did a video showing how to make an effective closed hood dyno test. Basically they bought some big ass fans from a car wash and use them when they dyno to simulate airflow.
They did a whole video calling out JLT and their inaccurate testing.
Very interesting if you can get the fuel trims to verify the comparison of the maf readings.
And 10whp.difference All the people say because hood up allows u to get air.from.ambient.
But...i have a huge vent over the Air filter so that theory should work with hood down.
But it doesnt. And I'm not sure if their fans moved at 160mph the mass of air that technically the car encounters.
For comparison a wind tunnels.i think reach 120mph or 150mph..
My point is.. the issue is only heat soaking.
My dyno.test showed more whp with a CAI
the street log.test showed more Air going in the engine with a CAI..
