Climate Control

Newb question on a 2023 Mach 1. When one selects AUTO for the climate control, do you also have to turn on A/C? I've got all of 600 miles on my Mach 1 and had the first occasion to use A/C yesterday. 5 full minutes after I hit "auto" I wasn't getting cold air regardless of where I set the temp control. I hit the Max A/C button and started to get cold air. Normal?

Mine does the same thing, but I use the regular A/C button, not Max, unless I really want it to blast.

Thanks Farkel, I appreciate the response. Every other car I've ever owned, 'auto' turned on the A/C or the heat depending on the temp.

I have noticed the same thing, I thought I was losing my mind!

The AC should come on when you press auto. As you said, this is how pretty much all cars work.

I just double checked my 21 GT, and sure enough, when you press auto, the AC comes on itself too.
