My advice would be to remove the liner. Yup, pull it off and let the heat rise up and out. The liners only purpose is fire suppression, your rubber and plastic engine parts will thank you for the heat reduction once removed. What is the best way to clean this liner?
can you provide some info on thisAnd you should apply some helicopter tape to where the rubber seal from your air filter contacts your hood. It will stop it from rubbing the paint off the inside of your hood.
the cable is from Ford on all GT350s - it is to make sure the air vent doesn’t detach and fly off.You can foam it down with a ph neutral soap and lightly scrub it with a soft bristle brush. I wouldn’t use a tire brush, those bristles are probably a little too stiff and might tear the liner. Or, you can ditch the liner altogether like Greg suggested.
Also, what’s that cable that is connected to one of the liner push pins? Those push pins aren’t super secure, curious what it’s holding
