That's unfortunate to hear, stang. I guess the hopes of Ford builders rolling up their sleeves after declaring "Let's make this week's cars absolutely perfect for the extra month we have them" a little bit unfounded.

I started a check list of things to look at before signing. This is the first I've heard of the rear window. Is there any other common problems? I do plan on checking the PP tires for cracks

well we went today to pick up my wife's ruby red GT PP and left it there. Issues seen were the back window was crooked like others have said(not sure if I will have them mess with this not as bad as others), driver's seat leather was loose on side of seat, back seat had a scratch in leather, and the biggest reason was that the white stitching on seats was brown in color on passenger seat half way down the side of it for a good 6-8 inches. it was very noticeable especially outside in day light. they tried to see if cleaning it will work but it didn't. They have to call ford and see how they will handle it before I sign any paperwork. the body panels were good aligned and hood shut good. Let's see what their answer is on Monday
That sux. Sorry to hear it. Did you notice how many miles were on it?

If you'll post the list everyone can see what might need to be added to it. Also, others can use it.

Rear window straightness
Tires cracked from cold
Seat leather
Stitching color
Panel alignment
Hood effort for shutting
Console closure

I would add effort to close the doors & trunk, the trunk and tail light alignment, & correct interior trim.

EDIT:
Check the undercarriage since our cars sat outside in the snow for a month.
Check for paint deffects.
Check for poor paint touch-ups especially around the fender bolts under the hood.

there was 17.3 miles on it but it said the car had been on for 2 hours and 2 minutes which I found interesting.

This seems high for a car that should have no customer test drives.

that has been about average, mine had 15 miles on it when I picked it up in Nov. There is an old thread about what folks were seeing on their cars

Someone else in the 2/2 build week had 18 miles so that might be normal for us since I'm sure with Ford's testing they've been driving them all over the place... in the snow... and salt.

The usual mileage for a Mustang that Ford hasn't been messing with is about 2 miles.

Mine has an EDD of 3/24 but I'm still in awaiting shipment. I guess my EDD will come and go again, for the third time.
