Brake Hose Clear Cover Longevity

I'm looking at the J&M Stainless Steel Brake Hose Kit from @Optimum Performance for my non-Magnaride 2018 GT (front 6-piston Brembo) and can't decide on the clear or black cover. I have a preference for the clear cover, but I'm concerned about discoloration in the long term.

Does anyone have experience they can share with the clear cover lines?

Dang, I missed this. I would have told you to go another route from J&M. They rub on the tires, and they should be a couple inches longer. One has to be really careful they don't kink the brake line when jacking up the car.

Functionally they are fine. Just a little annoying they aren't 2-3" longer.

I would have to look at who has a longer line. It's been a few years with mine since I looked, but I feel like Steeda or Goodridge might be a bit longer.

I anyone is ever wondering, from my own personal experience ss braided brake lines with clear covering will turn yellow over time.

Not that it matters it wont be visible anyway

That was my worry and black will look cleaner.

I haven’t done mine yet, but sounds like the black version is the way to go!
